Simon began his career in 2001 working with Intuit Master Builder, a product acquired by Intuit shortly before he joined the organization. Starting as an individual contributor, he quickly advanced into a Regional Manager role overseeing the Midwest Region of the United States. One of his first major leadership initiatives was successfully transitioning Intuit Master Builder from a direct sales model to an exclusive channel-driven strategy.
Following the success of the Intuit Master Builder product line, the business was later acquired by Sage and rebranded as Sage 100 CRE. Simon then expanded his experience in the SaaS space by joining NetSuite as Manager of Referral Partner Sales, where he helped grow the program by 27% year over year.
After his time at NetSuite, Simon returned to Intuit and played a key role in developing the company's go-to-market strategy for distributing products through a broad partner network. These products included QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Advanced, QuickBooks Point of Sale, Intuit Payments, and Intuit Payroll.
Over the course of more than 25 years, Simon has led a wide range of sales teams at Intuit, including Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Accountant Sales, Affiliate Sales, Referral Sales, ISV Sales and Integrations, and Franchise Sales focused on management system integrations.
After decades of building and scaling successful sales channels, Simon decided it was time to pursue a new chapter. Simon took a much needed sabbatical and then was contracted by Sage to help accelerate the distribution of Sage Intacct in North America via a VAR network.
Outside of his professional career, Simon is passionate about youth sports and enjoys coaching basketball, football, and baseball teams in his community. If you need an ice breaker in an initial discovery call just ask him about his obsession with cooking.
